There’s this really cool retro shop in Los Angeles that is proudly called This Is Not Ikea or TINI for short. Their prices are somewhat ridiculous for their wares but they do have an crazy assortment of goods ranging from kitsch to downright fancy. Now they have a statue of Indiana Jones for sale. Yes, that’s right, you too can rape Indy in all of his glory like Lucas and Spielberg, all in the privacy of your own home. If you live in the area hit ‘em up and check their retail store out.

I love Lego Star Wars. I’ve made that pretty clear before. Now a fan has put together this great CGI short that involves a Gungan and Bobba Fett’s hunt for him. I love Darth Vader asking for some ginger ale and I want that Millenium Falcon guitar. That is all. (via io9)

If you aren’t the dude dressed as Krang in this video then you lose Halloween. This along with that recent turtle van is kicking up the TMNT nostalgia factor COWABUNGALY. It was made by that gentleman’s wife, Melissa Dunphy (I love the women stepping up with these creations). It’s great because it is also a TOTALLY RADICAL cosplay outfit too. So, weep in the corner because unless you buy this, you’re costume is pretty weak.(via io9)

Apparantly if you have $350,000 lying around you can purchase the iconic costume in an upcoming Christie’s of Britain auction. It includes the helmet, mask, shin gaurds and shoulder armor. I’m not sure if this was screen worn but it was made for The Empire Strikes Back, which any true fanboy knows is the best of the six. I like Return of the Jedi the best though so fuck all you fanboys. Ewoks for the win bitches. Hit up the auction Nov. 25 to score this awesome piece and maybe, just maybe, you can make sweet, Star Wars love to your lady friend in this getup. Metroid stuff just seems to happen all at once. It goes cold for awhile and then suddenly there’s an influx. I came across these two today and new they would sate the thirst.

First we have some impressive use of broken game carts from the NES, SNES, Nintendo 64, Gameboy, and Gameboy Advance. I think I even spot a Genesis cart or two in there. This is a great collage/sculpture and a wonderful way to recycle game carts. I’d like to see a Link version as well. (via JJ Games)

Up next is a great video of a dad and son making a functioning Varia Suit costume for Halloween. This hits all the right notes as it’s a dad and son learning together and a kid who isn’t afraid to dress up as video games most famous heroine. I love to wear my nerd cred on my sleeve, sometimes my chest, or even in this case, my hood. I came across these beauties on Big Bad Toy Store as they are up for pre-order with an October release. The old school style of the characters is great and gives you that added throwback cred that everyone loves. I never actually read the DC comics as I was more of a Marvel kid but no one else needs to know that ‘cuz as long as wear these I at least look like I’m in the know. They are priced at a reasonable $39.99 and come in Joker, Batman, and Superman flavors. So head on over and get your reserve on.

Sorry I got sidetracked. These shoes look really cool and they come packaged in a cool blister pack reminiscent of a toy.
