I always dream of this happening in my thrift store hunting, estate sale going lifestyle but I know it’s just a pipe-dream. Well apparently it actually did happen to a family in need. The family was on the verge of losing their home to foreclosure and strted to pack things up in preparation. They made their way to the basement and came across a stack of comic books of which one was the fabled first appearance of Superman. Any geek or nerd worth their salt would faint on the spot as Superman ushered in the age of superheroes which is why his first appearance is so valuable and important.
