David O. Russell is quite the asshole. I usually try not to be too much of a fanboy when it comes to adaptations of things I’m into. I sat back while Michael Bay’s hair blew it’s load of conditioner all over my Transformers. I also shrugged my shoulders when Bryan Singer took a movie about a team of mutants and boiled it down into Wolverine lite. I even laugh off George Lucas’ fapping all over the Star Wars saga with a whiny Darth Vader (shit, I even went on to enjoy the prequels in their own disgusting way). Now that vomit up there is going to take the Uncharted movie and make it something it isn’t. Already, Mark Walberg, has been cast as the lead. I guess the fact that Nathan Fillion looks just like the character Nathan Drake is too easy.
Look at that picture. Shit. By the way Nathan Fillion’s previous roles are straight up Nathan Drake in all his snarkiness. I guarantee the developers of the game were influenced by Fillion. Instead we get Marky “fucking” Mark. His acting is on par with some of the set dressing I’ve put into the scenery of movies I’ve worked on. Now, O. Russell has decided to take the games pretty cool story and boil it down to this shite:
This idea really turns me on that there’s a family that’s a force to be reckoned with in the world of international art and antiquities … [a family] that deals with heads of state and heads of museums and metes out justice … We’ll have the family dynamic, which we’ve done in a couple of movies now. And then you take that and put it on the bigger, more muscular stage of an international action picture, but also put all the character stuff in it. That’s a really cool idea to me.
Really? If you’ve played the games then you know what I mean, otherwise I’m sorry for the rambling. Christ. (via Joystiq and a bunch of other gaming websites)

I never have faith in movies based on the game, and with obvious good reason. I think i’ve only seen 15 mins of Firefly, and i can see this other guys potential.
I would much rather see some more behind-the-scene footage of Russell freaking out than watch the funky bunch fuck up the franchise.
