Apparently, resident Indiana Jones, Harrison Ford, was quoted as saying he wants Indy killed off in the next film taht is currently in development. Almost immediately after that statement came out, Ford’s reps issued a denial about his statement. You can read about the whole story here and I have to say that I think this is a horrible idea. Harrison Ford has been open about his eagerness to see Han Solo killed as well. This all leads me to believe he is an asshole. Those characters aren’t his to kill as he likes. Fuck it, they aren’t Lucas’ or Speilberg’s, in the case of Indy. I’ll argue that these characters belong to the fans who love them. I know that sounds crazy, but seriously, it’s fucking true. Indy should maybe retire, but he should not fucking die. He’s already been around as an old guy in The Adventures of Young Indiana Jones. In fact, somewhere in his life, he actually loses his right eye which would be cool to see in the next movie.

So here’s the deal. Leave him alone Lucas, Spielberg, and Ford. Jesus Fuck! (via The Huffington Post)
