UPDATE:
After contacting Tokyo Hunter I realized that the price is what he buys it for at retail. He then has an insane mark-up of 23,000 yen for a total of 35,000 yen. If you are interested in this then I would wait as someone will release a cheaper version especially as it is the same mold with a color swap. Sorry if I got you excited.
When it rains Metroid news, it pours. This is the new model kit that Dimension Diver will be releasing at Wonder Festival 2010 in Japan. Tokyo Hunter, the resident procurer of cool items, has five of these available for pre-order and I can tell you that they will go very fast. The price is 12,000 yen (roughly $130) but these models are spectacular. I have the original Varia Suit version myself and assembling it and prepping it was a blast. As per usual with these types of kits the joints are not included which adds about $10-$20 to the price. What I love about this one is the itty bitty baby Metroid she has as a companion. Here’s some more great action pics:

Hey, Can you tell me where I can find the joints for a model kit such as this for purchase? I would love to put this together! Thanks!
Yeah, no problem, if you hit up Tatsu Hobby you can order from them.
Where do you get the actual parts for the gravity suit?
I’m not sure. They aren’t “parts” but are a full model version. Check Tatsu Hobby out. They probably won’t show it in stock but contact them and ask about it.
Actually, I found a samus kit at Tokyo Hunter.
But how much doe Tatsu Hobby cost?
All I see on Tatsu Hobby is the joints for the samus figure.
Tokyo Hunter has a ridiculous mark-up but the figures they have are the original licensed ones from the Trade Shows. I believe Tatsu Hobby does recasting and makes their own molds to produce theirs. If I remember correctly I paid under $100 for the model and the ball joints.
You have to contact them in person and ask as they make them special order I believe.
Yeah but I din’t see any samus kits on tatsu hobby@Nathan
maybe i will ak them
That’s what I already said if you look at the comments. I believe they won’t advertise it or show it for order to avoid getting in trouble due to it being a recast.
